animation terrorisers.

i just recently bought the new 'yen magazine' and there was a section about animation thus i thought it was interesting so here it is....

'south australian based animation studio, the People's Republic of Animation is becoming a stronger power in the media. their satirical portrayal of terrorism, Erroris: a comedy of terrors has been picked up by bodaphone as a moble phone series in the UK. inspired by classic cartoons like ren and stimpy, director eddie white tells us why dark subject matter is prevalent in the work of the PRA:
"i guess it's because we are dark and disturbed people! honestly we like to inject a certain light and shade into everything we do so its more interesting. if you play the two against each other the results can be really interesting and create different reactions from the audience. taking something cute and subverting it like we've done with errorism -- or something really funny that is at the same time tragic -- are the most enjoyable things to work on," says white.'

also just to note that the peoples republic of animation are also responsible for 'sweet and sour' which we semi-half watched in todays lecture. there are other short films likecarnivore reflux which also deals with the ferral ideas. carnivore reflux was also shown at the animation film festival a few weeks ago.

apart from animations on this website there are tv series downloads games and promos all of which i find interesting.
